To know history, to remember the faces, gestures and responsibilities of the past.
Numerous initiatives will take place in Rovereto from January 13th to 30th on Holocaust Remembrance Day: exhibitions, concerts, meetings, and debates to delve deeper into history and reflect on the past.
Program:
- From January 13 to February 9, G. Tartarotti Civic Library | Entartete Kunst e Grosse deutsche Kunstausstellung, Munich 1937. Educational exhibition curated by the Rovereto History Laboratory. Inauguration Tuesday, January 13th at 5:00 PM.
- Friday, January 16, 5:00 PM, Sala Caritro, Piazza Rosmini | ‘Degenerate’ and ‘Pure’ Art Compare. Meeting-debate with Denis Isaia (Mart) and Elina Massimo (Rovereto History Laboratory).
- Wednesday, January 21, 6:30 PM, Philharmonic Hall | Wandering Listening. The uncommon faces of music. A concert to reflect on musical expression beyond the definition of race.
- Tuesday, January 27, 4:00 PM, Piazzale Paolo Orsi | In memory of the Vallagarina Military Internees. Demonstration with the laying of a laurel wreath at the monument to the Former Internees.
- Tuesday, January 27, 8:30 PM (schools 10:00 AM), Zandonai Theater | Guilty of Love. Race, identity and discrimination of the different. Theatrical performance curated by the Rovereto History Laboratory, in collaboration with Collettivo Clochart and the students of the Student Theatre Laboratory. Directed by Michele Comite. Free entry.
- Friday, January 30, 2:30-7:30 PM, Archives Room of the G. Tartarotti Civic Library | Music and Culture in Nazi Concentration Camps. The resistance of Pietro Maggioli and his fellow prisoners. Meeting and concert.
- From January 31st to March 14th, City Museum | I’m calm, so be you. Documentary exhibition dedicated to Ezio Setti, in dialogue with the exhibition hosted in the train station underpass.
- From January 31st to March 14th, train station underpass | I’m calm, so be you. Installation by Matteo Setti Peterlini dedicated to Ezio Setti, in dialogue with the exhibition at the City Museum.
