The castles come to life!

Events and exhibitions in Trentino's castles

Towers, battlements, gates and arrowslits: did you know that there are around 300 castles in Trentino? Many of them have kept their ancient beauty intact, including Castello del Buonconsiglio in Trento, Castel Thun in Val di Non, and Castel Caldes in Val di Sole. Others are now in ruins, but are witnesses of a glorious past. They all tell the story of a borderland, in a strategic position between the Mediterranean and the Alps.

And while once upon a time the courtyards and halls rang with the voices of ladies, warriors and servants, now they are brought to life by exhibitions, wine tasting events, and many other initiatives for visitors of all ages, among the towers and ramparts.
