When mountains meet the sky

Sun terraces where you can enjoy exclusive views and savour exquisite gourmet cuisine

With your skis on you can reach some unique and breath-taking places. As you know, Trentino, is the “home” of mountain huts, rifugi: real vantage points, sun terraces where you can enjoy exclusive views, and at the same time savour exquisite gourmet cuisine.

Some are easily accessible from the bottom of the valley by cable car, others only with alpine skis or snowshoes.

Our suggested vantage points are the strategic locations where you can stand in awe in front of the most spectacular sights, then attempt a thrilling descent on perfectly snow-covered slopes.

Chalet Spinale: a view of the Brenta Dolomites

At Chalet Spinale, you’ll find beauty—set in the Adamello Brenta Natural Park—and delight in the choice of dishes, from gourmet creations to traditional Trentino cuisine. The menu is à la carte, or you can opt for the tasty Snowgrill Kiosk if you prefer a quicker lunch. For a refined break in the sun, Spinale is the perfect spot, at an altitude of 2,100 meters.

Rifugio Boch: a view of the Brenta Dolomites

Rifugio Boch, at 2,085 meters, offers refined cuisine rooted in Trentino tradition and beyond, warm and welcoming service, and a beautiful sun-drenched terrace—the perfect place to relax between ski runs. We recommend the Boch Bombardino and the Boch Passion. Open in the evening as well, for a gourmet dinner.

Family Chalet Dosson: a view of the Brenta Dolomites

A terrace set in the middle of a wide meadow, at 1,450 meters above sea level, with a wonderful view of the Brenta Dolomites. A landmark spot for a break while skiing on the Paganella slopes.

Baita Colverde: Overlooking Pale di San Martino

At Baita Colverde, 2000 meters up, between Cimon della Pala and the Dolomites in San Martino di Castrozza, the terrace offers panoramic views and traditional local cuisine: a warm embrace of flavor and beauty.

Chalet 44 Alpine Lounge: a view of the Lagorai and the Pale di San Martino

Before sitting down to lunch in this elegant chalet, we recommend you stop on the terrace for an aperitif: the panorama is unparalleled with a view that spans the Lagorai chain and the Pale di San Martino Dolomites. The chalet is located next to the arrival station of the Bellamonte 3.0 cableway in Morea, Val di Fiemme, and is easily accessible.

Rifugio Fredarola: a view of the Marmolada

If you find yourself at Rifugio Fredarola in Val di Fassa, try to get a table by the large south-facing window. Throughout lunch (excellent cuisine—the grilled dishes come highly recommended!), you’ll have a very special dining companion: the Marmolada, the Queen of the Dolomites. And don’t forget to try the outdoor panoramic pool!
