To discover the hidden side of Vallagarina

From Monte Baldo to the historic buildings of Rovereto

Tall houses, with small windows, packed tightly together. You'd never noticed. At least until today. Windows tell a story, that of a city that between the 16th and 18th centuries was a hub for silk production. Your guide tells you, explaining that those buildings once housed hydraulic spinning mills. In that spacious space, enormous cogwheels moved nonstop, and all those small windows provided the necessary ventilation.

This is what Rovereto's urban treks are for. To see the city from different perspectives and discover new stories.

A unique experience, like so many others that await you this spring, exploring unusual routes that reveal the hidden side of Vallagarina.

Third stop: on Monte Baldo, in search of flowers

A short distance from Rovereto, between Lake Garda and the Adige River Valley, lies the Monte Baldo Local Natural Park, also known as Hortus Italiae for its kaleidoscope of flowers and rare plants that bloom from late April to July. It's in spring that the most common species, such as lilies, arnica, and goldenrod, create a unique spectacle on the high-altitude meadows. Carpets of snowdrops unfurl along the paths, along with gentians, red lilies, and, on the rocks, silver geraniums.

The perfect place to admire the blooms.
