Siror Christmas Market

The Siror Christmas Market, the oldest Christmas market in Trentino, as per tradition is preparing to transform the ancient village of Primiero into a romantic Christkindlmarkt.The characteristic small wooden houses, ancient barns and stables in the old town center will be transformed into picturesque shops where you can find original Christmas gifts: decorations, nativity scenes, handicrafts and numerous sweet and savory delicacies, such as the typical Siror brazedel, Trentino zelten, cold meats, honey, pancakes and many other delights.A tour of the village on board the troika, a traditional horse-drawn sleigh, and a stop at the "My Christmas Tree" competition exhibition, where you can find hints and ideas for a different fir tree and vote for the most original tree, are highly recommended.

During the Christmas Market, sculptors from all over Italy will take part in the traditional 'Arte Natale' Sculpture Symposium and create small wooden masterpieces under the curious eyes of the public. Given the proximity to the San Martino di Castrozza-Passo Rolle ski slopes, which are only 13 kilometers away, a visit to the Siror Christmas Market will be an excellent opportunity to end the first skiing of the season on a high note.

• Sunday, December 1 - Market open from 10:30 AM to 6:30 PM
  
  JOSEF will enliven the entire market day with his organ music.
  
  2:30 PM: Official opening of the 30th edition of the Siror Christmas Market with a parade and concert by the Romeno Marching Band, accompanied by the Primör Schützen Company. Ribbon cutting, welcome speech by authorities, and the inauguration of the Christmas Market and Santa’s Village.
  
  Santa Claus will arrive in the village on the troika with his helpers, the elves, and welcome the children in his house.
  
  Horse-drawn troika rides through the market streets.
   
• Saturday, December 7 - Market open from 10:30 AM to 6:30 PM
  
  Roaming entertainment with GEO THE JUGGLER, who will amaze both children and adults with his unicycle and props.
  
  5:00 PM: ST. NICHOLAS PARADE, re-enacting the ancient tradition of the arrival of St. Nicholas, the good bishop with a basket full of sweets for all the children. Elementary school students, accompanied by their teachers, will welcome and thank St. Nicholas with Christmas songs.

• Sunday, December 8 - Market open from 10:30 AM to 6:30 PM
  
  Roaming music with the accordions of THE CHRISTMAS SHEPHERDS.
  
  2:30 to 3:30 PM and 4:30 to 5:30 PM: concert in the square by SMILE, Family Christmas, Italy’s only band made up of five siblings.
  
  The Primiero Friends of Africa Association will offer DONKEY RIDES through the village on the donkeys and ponies of the "Dalaip dei Pape" Agritourism, with voluntary donations. The proceeds will be dedicated to the Association's international cooperation projects, particularly in Africa and South America.
   
• Saturday, December 14 - Market open from 10:30 AM to 6:30 PM
  
  Roaming music with the unmissable FRIULIAN BAGPIPERS, who, with bagpipes, shawms, accordions, tambourines, guitars, gaitas, tarotas, and other handmade instruments, will create a typical Christmas atmosphere.
  
  YARI will entertain children with his juggling shows.
  
  Donkey rides available through the market streets with the DONKEYS OF DALAIP.
   
• Sunday, December 15 - Market open from 10:30 AM to 6:30 PM
  
  The FRIULIAN BAGPIPERS will create a typical Christmas atmosphere.Horse-drawn troika rides through the market streets.
  
  Magic, transformation, and poetry with LILIAN, THE QUEEN OF GIFTS.
   
• Saturday, December 21 - Market open from 10:30 AM to 6:30 PM
  
  Roaming music with the brass ensemble FUNKTROP CHRISTMAS BAND.
  
  Horse-drawn troika rides through the market streets.
   
• Sunday, December 22 - Market open from 10:30 AM to 6:30 PM
  
  Roaming music with THE GOURMANDS. This brass sextet from Feltre will perform a broad repertoire ranging from classical to modern music, making their performances engaging and unforgettable.
  
  Show MERCHANT OF GRAVITY with acrobatic juggler Niccolò, who defies gravity in his performances.
  
  Horse-drawn troika rides through the market streets.
  
  5:00 PM: Award ceremony for the 29th "MY CHRISTMAS TREE" contest and the 22nd ARTE NATALE wood sculpture symposium.

SANTA'S HOUSE

A magical place where you can meet Santa Claus and his busy elves and experience unforgettable emotions!
Directly from Rovaniemi, Santa Claus arrives in Siror.
To reach his house, specially set up in the village, you will follow a magical path that will transport you straight to Lapland.
In the glow of the Northern Lights, you can meet Santa Claus, hand him your letters, and share your wishes, which will then be written in the magic book.
With the help of his elves, Santa Claus will tell Christmas stories, especially those from his homeland, Finnish Lapland.
Santa's House is open every day of the market from 10:30 AM to 6:30 PM.
Santa will be present in the afternoon from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
In the workshop, artist elves will help you create a wooden Christmas landscape using your own creativity and imagination.
