The heritage of the Fondazione Museo storico del Trentino comes out of the archives and deposits and finds space in a new permanent exhibition space.
A place where big events intertwine with daily lives. The collections of a museum thus become a living story, giving back voices and faces of a territory. From the diary of a soldier to the accordion of an emigrant, from the bust of an emperor to the video interviews of witnesses of the twentieth century. The objects speak and the stories of yesterday become keys to understanding today's reality, in a space open to anyone who wants to read the present starting from the traces of the past.
The path opens with the Great War, highlighting its impact on the population and the territory.
The period between the two wars followed, with the reconstruction and the fascist twenty years.
The third section tells of Trentino's participation in the Second World War, the German occupation, the bombings and the Resistance.
The path ends with the political, social and economic transformations from 1945 to 1972, paying particular attention to the events of autonomy.
