<p>A route suitable for everyone, immersed in nature, where you can discover traces of ancient mines.</p>
<p>The Sentiero delle Canope was created thanks to the commitment of the Ecomuseum Argentario and the inhabitants of Argentario to promote the mining heritage of the area and its most picturesque places, such as Lake Santa Colomba.</p> <p>The route is a relaxing loop trail that crosses a dense forest of conifers and broadleaf trees and leads to the discovery of some ancient canope excavated by medieval miners searching for silver deposits; the Argentario area takes its name from this precious mineral!</p> <p>The forest opens up at times and offers scenic views such as the one visible from Dos dei Brusadi. Along the trail are also interesting informational panels to deepen knowledge of the geology, history, and life of the canòpi, as well as the legend of these places.</p>
