In the mid-sixties, Ezio Alimonta and his father Gilio, both mountain guides, were coming down from the Brenta peaks, when - arrived at the feet of the Vedretta degli Sfulmini glacier - they looked at each other and said: a mountain hut is needed here, so mountaineers can have a roof over their heads as close to the mountains as possible. They chose the right place, in one of the Brenta’s most awesome settings, and a few years later - in 1968 - the mountain hut was inaugurated, and it is still, after a series of upgrades, run by the family of mountaineers whose name it bears. This mountain hut is a base for the Via delle Bocchette via ferrata and is so close to the rocks that it’s easy to dream of being a mountaineer.

Note on the check-in at the mountain hut
The check-in at our mountain hut must take place before 5:00 p.m.. In case of delay please notify us by phone at +39 379 2665489 before 9:00 p.m.. Failure to arrive at the mountain hut or no telephone warning of delay before 9:00 p.m. will be considered as renunciation of the booked stay. We will therefore reserve the right to reassign the places kept reserved until that moment; it is understood that any deposit paid at the time of booking will not be refunded.
How to reach us
Hike
From Madonna di Campiglio - by car or shuttle bus or on foot - reach the Vallesinella parking, then take the footpath no. 317. When you get to the Rifugio Casinei, continue on the footpath no. 318 as far as the Rifugio Brentei, then take the footpath no. 323.

Note on prices, booking procedure and cancellation policy
The prices indicated are without tourist tax and do not include any surcharges related to the Covid-19 virus; in this regard, before your visit, we invite you to visit our website http://www.rifugioalimonta.it/ for updates on the possible introduction of the tourist tax charged to our category and on any surcharges applied in order to welcome you in the safest way possible in accordance with current regulations (for example, use of disposable linen).
Since our mountain hut is private, there are no reductions for members belonging to mountaineering groups (for example, CAI, SAT, DAV) and for children.
The booking of an overnight stay at our mountain hut takes place mainly through this online booking platform and it will be considered completed upon payment of the required confirmation deposit. For any modification requests or cancellations a message must be sent to the e-mail address info@rifugioalimonta.it. Please note that in any event the deposit paid will not be returned; for this reason, we recommend you to take out insurance coverage within 48 hours of booking confirmation suggesting the provider C4UH.
In case you wish to book close to the date of stay - that is on the same day of arrival or on the day before - we invite you to contact us by phone at +39 379 2665489: if we have free places, we would gladly assign them to you, in this circumstance without the payment of any deposit. Only a courtesy is required: if you are unable to reach us, please notify us as soon as possible again by phone.
