CAMPEI
Information
On a magnificent natural balcony, amidst the lush, flowering meadows of the northern slopes of Monte Baldo, is the Rifugio Campei, built from the old Malga Campei di Sopra, a former mountain farm. You might reach this picturesque stone refuge to enjoy the wide and relaxing panoramas but also to take part in the various activities proposed in this place, once dedicated to traditional agriculture. Tradition still reigns when it comes to food, with local dishes made with care and passion.
Walks
There are wide open vistas around the Rifugio Campei, but if you want to enjoy a view of Lake Garda’s blue waters just make the short walk up to the summit of Monte Varagna (20 minutes, difficulty E), then continue along the same path towards the summit of Monte Altissimo where you’ll also find the refuge of the same name (1:30 hours, difficulty E).
