Information
Even Cesare Battisti was struck - in June 1916, just a few weeks before being captured by the Austro-Hungarian army - by the beauty of the flowers and vegetation in the Campobrun valley, where in 1952 the Veronese Alpini built the Pompeo Scalorbi Refuge. This area was declared a nature reserve in 1971, but at the time of the Great War, it was home to the rear lines of the Italian army, as evidenced by the ancient military road that still crosses the valley. The Refuge - nestled among the meadows at an altitude of 1,767 meters and surrounded by the peaks of the Piccole Dolomiti - is dedicated to Captain Pompeo Scalorbi, the soul of the Ana of Verona, the association that currently manages the facility owned by the Province of Trento.

Itineraries
From the Pompeo Scalorbi Refuge, it is possible to ascend to Cima Carega, passing through the Mario Fraccaroli Refuge (1 hour and 40 minutes of walking, difficulty E), and to Monte Obante (1 hour of walking, difficulty E).

Payment Conditions
To confirm the booking, a deposit of 20€ per person for each booked day must be paid (within 5 days), which will be deducted at the time of final payment.

Once the payment is made, please send us a copy of the payment confirmation to info@rifugioscalorbi.com or bring a printed copy with you to the shelter.
