SELVATA
Information
On a green plateau in the valley that runs from Molveno into the heart of the Brenta Group, is where you’ll find the Rifugio Selvata, 1,630 metres above sea level at the foot of the Massodi.
The view of Croz dell’Altissimo is impressive: 900 metres of vertical rock, which engaged the hardiest climbers in the early 20th century.
This refuge can be a destination for anyone wanting to taste some typical Trentino dishes in a relaxed environment, or a (well-earned) stop along the route followed by the pioneers who crossed the Bocca di Brenta in the second half of the 19th century .
Open
From 1 June to 20 September
Before leaving for your hike, always contact the manager to verify the actual opening of the mountain hut
Walks
From Rifugio Selvata you can walk to the Tosa and Tommaso Pedrotti refuges in around 2 ½ hours (difficulty E), and from there in another 20 minutes ascend to the Bocca di Brenta.
