Information
The Rifugio Trivena is located in Val di Breguzzo where the trees are sparse and vast grazing land opens to the view. The original building, an old structure for the workers of a marble quarry, was restored on 1987. The manager, Dario Antonini, is there to welcome the many skiers also during the winter months to share with them the secrets of this wild valley in the Adamello range. Off the dining room there is a small museum exhibiting relics from WWI. The hotel is open from December 27 to the end of March and from the middle of June to the end of September. For the rest of the year services are available only by reservation for groups of min 20 people. Before setting out for your excursion please check with the manager that the lodge is open.
Itineraries: 1 hour’s walk from the lodge to the Piana di Redònt with its impressive waterfalls cascading from the ice smoothed rocks; 3 hours’ walk to the Porte di Danerba (difficulty: EE -experienced hikers) from which it is possible to descend to Val Daone (2h15min walk – difficulty: E – hikers) or to Val di Fumo through the Passo di Breguzzo (2h30min walk – difficulty EE -experienced hikers).

From Breguzzo, 50 metres after the Albergo Trento take the Val di Breguzzo road to Pont'Arnò - Ponte Pianone (9 km) then continue on foot on a forest track (signposted no. 223, 1 ½ hours). Coming from Brescia up the Val del Chiese, go through Bondo and turn left at the crossroads to the north of the village (Monumental Cemetery on the right, Coop supermarket on the left) and take the road leading up to the Val Breguzzo.
