The crunch of soft snow
Skiing and so much more
What’s the quintessential sound of snow? Maybe the crunch of snowshoes crossing a carpet of white, or a tiny flurry unexpectedly cascading off the branch of a tree, making you look round when you’re walking through the woods. Or it could be the muffling effect of the first snowfall, which spreads stillness across the land.
You can only really appreciate these sounds among the peace and quiet of the mountains, far from the loud noises and bright lights of towns and cities. Feel at one with nature in Trentino, where you can enjoy a whole host of amazing experiences and stop to savour the symphony of the snow.
Trentino confirms itself as one of the top destinations for ski lovers, even during the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026.
Val di Fiemme will host Nordic skiing disciplines, such as cross-country skiing, Nordic combined and ski jumping, and Paralympic cross-country skiing and biathlon.
The Olympics will be held from 6 to 22 February 2026, while the Paralympics from 6 to 15 March 2026.
