A few steps from Maso San Giuseppe to Terragnolo in the Leno Valleys, you will find a Venetian sawmill from the eighteenth century, renovated with the aim of enhancing the local cultural identity and historical heritage. Let yourself be accompanied by the discovery of a new museum itinerary on ancient crafts. Witness to ancient labours, it will offer you an experience made of emotion and curiosity. Rediscover a now forgotten tool for cutting wood: the water wheel. Observe the enormous washer of centuries-old white spruce, approaching dendrochronology, the study of the growth rings of the trunks, useful for naturalistic and historical-archaeological research. Inside the sawmill you will find an ethnographic museum and discover the tools used by woodcutters, carpenters and carpenters, as well as admiring evocative vintage photographs. In this way, you will be able to retrace the activities that once led from cutting plants in the woods to the subsequent processing of boards and beams.
