Until the eighties, the artisan blacksmith Francesco Cortiana produced tools thanks to the power of the Ala stream. It is the last mill in the Ronchi Valley, where until thirtyyears ago cutting tools were made for agricultural and forestry activities thanks to a "grinding wheel" powered by the stream water. The stories of Mario Cortiana, the nephew of the blacksmith Francesco, will take you back in time, illustrating the secrets of ironworking.
