Passo Manghen by way of Val Calamento
After leaving behind the Valsugana and the town of Telve, provincial road no. 31 climbs surely and steadily up to the pass. The road doesn’t present any excessively steep stretches however there is also not much opportunity for “recuperating” while pedalling.

The 110 km route requires sufficient preparation to overcome the only real climb of the itinerary, which is the legendary Passo Manghen climb, also featured in the 2019 Giro d'Italia. The starting point is Levico Terme, a tourist resort in Valsugana since the 19th century, and you follow the cycle path along the Brenta river to Borgo Valsugana. Then you head towards Castelnuovo, the starting point of the climb. Upon reaching the top, you descend to Molina di Fiemme and follow the left bank of the Avisio stream up to Lona-Lases, where you turn back towards Valsugana. After passing through Pergine, you return to the starting point cycling on the "old" road that connected Pergine Valsugana with Levico Terme.
