A scenic alternative way to climb to the famous peak of Mount Roen. The easy via ferrata is suitable for those who have just started tackling via ferratas.
The tour does not entail any particular difficulties and once you have reached the panoramic peak, the return journey is along the classic and safe SAT 500 trail. The loop trail offers you the chance to visit two refuges located at the foot of Mount Roen: Oltradige Refuge and Malga di Romeno Refuge.

Malga di Romeno can be reached by car on a cement road departing from the town of Amblar.
Roadbook
From Malga di Romeno, take country road number 560 leading towards Oltradige Refuge. The via ferrata begins right near the refuge; follow the signs to "Klettersteig".
Once you have put on the equipment required to tackle the via ferrata, follow the metal rope across a series of small rock faces. The difficulty level is low, but the suspended and at times exposed environment as you climb up the rock face may seem daunting.
After about 45 minutes, you will reach the ridge and trail marker 523 leading you to Mount Roen Peak.
Return along trail 500 climbing down to Malga di Romeno.
