Seated Trail
High up, where silence and peaks reign supreme, art surprises with its lightness. At "Sela Brunéch", try the thirteen wooden seats designed by Marco Nones. To see... and to experience!
At "Sela Brunéch", 2,428 metres above sea level, everything opens up: your gaze, your breath, the silence. No buildings, no artifice - just pastures, sky, and the sharp silhouettes of the most iconic Dolomites. Here, in this setting of pure tranquillity, artist Marco Nones has placed nine sculptural seats made from reclaimed wood salvaged from old alpine huts. Thrones, benches, chaise longues - objects suspended between playfulness and contemplation, meant to be tried, experienced, and allowed to speak for themselves. Each shape surprises, makes you smile, or invites stillness. Art becomes part of the landscape without disturbing it. Then you walk along the ridge path that leads to "Col de Valvacin", where you will be surprised by four more installations, until you reach the El Zedron restaurant and conquer the coveted climbing throne.
This short themed trail, easily reached by chairlift from Ciampac, merges environmental art with the solitude of the high mountains, offering a simple yet profound experience for all. A chance to sit, stay, listen - and feel something shift, within you even before around you.
