The Lez of San Romedio, the famous path in the rock
This walk is the most famous and sought-after in the Val di Non! It starts from the village of Sanzeno and in less than an hour leads to the famous Sanctuary of San Romedio. Its peculiarity is that it is carved into the rock and flat: it actually follows an ancient irrigation canal. <p><b>Update 2026: the trail is OPEN AND ACCESSIBLE!</b></p> <p>Mountain trail deliberately equipped with protective railings.<br />The use of a climbing helmet and proper footwear is mandatory.</p>
It is one of the best-known routes in Trentino for two simple reasons: it is easy, very detailed and leads to a magnificent place, the Sanctuary of San Romedio!

In the first stretch of the route in the rock there is a climbing wall. If there are people practicing this sport, it is necessary to be careful of falling stones.For safety reasons, helmets are provided at the beginning of the rock face to walk in complete peace of mind.
As you can imagine, the walkability of routes in a mountain environment is strictly linked to current conditions and therefore depends on natural phenomena, environmental changes and weather conditions. A regular bus connects Cles and Dermulo to the village of Sanzeno. To access the trail, you must get off at the stop near the Retico museum.

From the South follow the signs for Dermulo and then for Alta Val di Non. After passing the village of Sanzeno, on the right of the Retico Museum, clearly visible from the state road, there is a large parking lot and from there the walk starts.Parking
