The Queen of the lake, the mother waterfall of Val Daone

The walk leading to Malga Leno takes place in a wonderful setting of silence and greenery.  The imposing Regina del Lago Waterfall is truly a postcard-perfect viewpoint. 

<p>Starting from Lago di Boazzo, passing the evocative Regina del Lago Waterfall, the undisputed queen of the lake both in summer and in winter when it freezes, the route develops after a stretch of mule track and hairpin bends in a wooded and wild environment.  </p> <p>Accompanying the silence of the valley is only the roar of the Rondon stream and the chirping of some birds.</p> <p>Wooden footbridges to cross, a forest that thickens among dwarf pines and bushes before arriving at a series of ups and downs leading to the clearing where Malga Leno is located.</p> <p>Situated inside a basin that welcomes the traveler who crosses it, here the view extends towards the sharp spire of Monte Gelo on one side and Passo Termine on the other,</p> <p>Recently renovated, the malga is an excellent resting point to take a well-deserved break before returning downhill. </p>
