Mount Roen is a classic for hikers and bikers. This loop tour touches as many as 4 alpine huts, and throughout the route there are no shortage of great viewpoints of the Brenta Dolomites massif.

This loop tour has no technical difficulties as it takes place almost entirely on forest roads. It passes through an area little frequented by trekkers and touches on a series of pretty huts mostly used as a place for a Sunday picnic by locals.

    Author’s recommendation

Of the 4 huts only the Romeno hut is open and managed. All the other huts are nice bivouacs and where you can to refill your water bottles.

    Malga di Romeno

    Roadbook

Starting in Amblar, take the paved road that leads up Mount Roen.

Arriving at the Malga di Romeno hut, turn south and begin a series of downhill forest roads that pass by the huts of Mount Roen: the Malga di Amblar, the Malga di Don and the Malga di Sanzeno.

The viewpoints follow one another and arriving at the various malghe it is possible to rest and immersed in the vegetation observe the magnificent view of Val di Non with the background of the Brenta Dolomites .

One descends to the valley in the village of Don and then resumes the dense forest for a short distance to return to Amblar.
