REFAVAIE
Information
CIN IT022142B8QC26OFZA
Following the Vanoi torrent up the valley of the same name, at a certain point the asphalt road comes to an end. Here - at 1,102 metres above sea level - is the Rifugio Refavaie, built out of a former inn that served woodcutters, deep in the largest forests in the Province of Trento crossed by paths and forestry tracks passing among towering conifers. An unspoilt area, where Trentino looks like Canada on a smaller scale. Near the refuge is a little lake for trout fishing, higher up are the peaks of the Great War (Cauriol) and the unspoilt flanks of the Lagorai.

Winter: every weekend from December to May; also open in December in the period from Christmas to 6 January
