Sentiero Archeologico Cavedine
A fascinating journey from prehistory to Roman times. Walk along the trail and discover an area full of sites of historical, archaeological and naturalistic interest.
A veritable roof terrace on the left of the orographic basin of the Sarca River, the Cavedine Valley hosts a suggestive archaeological route that winds through a dirt path that accompanies the visitor to discover important sites. It starts from the town of Cavedine, near the Parish Church of the Madonna Assunta (famous for its eighteenth-century frescoes by Valentino Rovisi di Moena, a student of Tiepolo) and continues along the so-called "Roman road" that once connected Tridentum (ancient Trento) with Garda. Along the route you can discover points of historical interest such as the Roman fountain, the "Carega del Diaol", the rock engravings and the capital of San Lorenzo.
