Museo "La Casa dell'Acqua"
An inviting museum that takes you on an interactive journey to learn about water, Fondo's main landscape feature. It is the ideal starting point for exploring the Rio Sass Canyon.
A small museum full of interactive activities on the top floor of the historic Mulino Bertagnolli, which you can visit upon request. The Casa dell’Acqua has six spaces, all focussed on water and its importance in Val di Non’s history. Sound design recordings, film clips, stories, entertainment, an interactive panel on how a hydroelectric power plant works, an acoustic shower game... plenty of activities to learn how precious water is and how to avoid wasting it, even in daily life. The museum is in the historic district of Giò a l'Aca, in Fondo, the starting point for walks to lake Smeraldo and guided tours to the Rio Sass Canyon which has shaped the landscape and layout of this locality for centuries.
