Monte Bondone is also called Trento’s Alp. Located in a central position, as the city of Trento is, Monte Bondone offers a spectacular view of the mountain ranges and peaks of whole Trentino.
Mount Bondone is the ideal place for hiking and mountain biking, horse riding, hang-gliding and paragliding. Monte Bondone also offers a wide range of walking opportunities on the mountains surrounding the large green Viote valley. The turbary is very rich in plant species and rare invertebrates.Worth visiting is Giardino Botanico Alpino, (Alpine Botanical Garden), with more than two thousand plants and flowers from all over the world.
The ski area offers tourists a wide network of ski-lifts and downhill ski-runs to be found on different sides of the mountains, in addition to an entertaining snow park, a functional cross-country skiing centre in the sunny Conca delle Viote, and a programmed snow system to provide top skiing conditions. Ski-mountaineering can also be enjoyed here, especially in the mountains surrounding the Viote.
