Two unique trails invite visitors to explore the benefits of shinrin-yoku. The ‘Path of the Giants’ winds among towering white firs - some over 50 meters tall - nurtured by the area’s unique microclimate. Starting at Malga Laghetto, the route unfolds through the forest above the Rio Torto Valley, with shorter and intermediate loops ideal for families.

Natural Parks Activities

As autumn arrives in Trentino's natural parks, the echoes of deer calls signal the start of the mating season. The powerful, mysterious and unforgettable roar of the stag resonates through valleys and forests, serving to attract females and warn rivals. When these calls are insufficient, duels for dominance ensue, with antlers locked in fierce clashes.

Guided excursions, held at dawn or after sunset, allow visitors to listen and - with luck - witness these moments without disturbing the animals. Experts use thermal imaging cameras to observe deer and other wildlife moving in the dark.

Autumn colours off the beaten path

Between October and November, guided walks explore the forests of Vallagarina, Lessinia, the Leno Valleys and Lake Cei.
