Lago dei Caprioli

The basin is located in località Fazzon and can be reached from the town of Pellizzano by taking the asphalt road (6 km) until the parking lot 400 m away from the lake.
An eponymous refuge is found on the banks of the lake, while the Agritur Malga Bassa of Fazzon, with the nearby Visitor Information Centre is located just a short distance away and helps visitors discover the natural landscape while focusing specifically on geomorphologic and anthropic issues. The centre's two protagonists are the bear - which has disappeared from local memory - and the chamois, for which a specific fenced in wildlife area has been created. The Malga Alta di Fazzon (1,546 m) is located at a 45 minute walk from the lake and is still used as an Alpine summer pasture. The dairy plays host to a number of guided tours for visitors, so that they can observe various traditional milk processing phases and techniques employed here.
The walk along the banks of the lake is both extremely pleasant and restful, and allows visitors to admire the mountains reflected in the lake's crystalline waters.
