Together with tiny Lake Lagabis, Lake Cei is one of the two basins making up the extremely beautiful protected area called Pra dell'Albi - Cei. Lake Cei is a striking mirror of water located at about 900 metres a.s.l. Visitors are attracted by the peacefulness of the lake surrounded as it is by green, age-old beech and fir trees, as well as rich aquatic vegetation. Colourful water lilies, including the very rare blue iris, grow along its shores. The nuances of the water lilies and reed forests blend with the many-coloured feathers of the wild ducks offering a breathtaking view.
